To save themselves from the Open Defecation Free(ODF) team in Bihar’s Sasaram, a couple of people jumped into the river to escape being caught by the team. Two children lost their lives in the incident.
The kids died after they jumped into the river and drowned. The people were caught by the ODF team for defecating in the open and tried to run away from the place. They jumped into River Kudra to escape the punishment.
Furious at the death of the children, residents have blocked NH-2. They have also condemned the atrocious behaviour of the ODF team. The administration is trying to calm down the people.
An official said that investigations are on to search for the missing children. State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) team has also been called. Traffic has been blocked because of the highway blockage.
