In yet another incident of molestation against woman, a group of five men attempted to molest two woman in Bihar’s Vaishali district, and when the the 30-year-old victim and her elderly mother tried to resist and fight back the molesters, the duo were beaten up brutally, their heads were shaved and the two were paraded in front of the whole village.
The shocking incident took place in Bhagawanpur village of the district where five men barged into the victims’ house when they were alone and allegedly tried to molest them on Wednesday.
As the women put up a stiff resistance, the accused, who wielded influence in the village, got enraged and beat them up, before calling a barber and getting their heads shaved. The SHO said the women were then made to parade across the village with their tonsured heads.

The mother-daughter duo regretted that they were mercilessly beaten up by the five accused and their heads tonsured in front of the whole village but no one came to their rescue. The villagers kept looking at them as mute spectators, the said.
They were later rescued by the local police. A case has been registered at the Bhagwanpur Police Station in this connection and an investigation has been launched.
Prime accuse Mohammad Khurshid who is a local ward councillor and the barber who shaved the heads of the heads of the victims have been arrested. A case has been lodged and efforts are on to nab the rest of the accused in the matter. Further investigation in the case has also begun.
