Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kamal Patel attacked former Congress president Rahul Gandhi saying that he should “remove ‘Gandhi’ from his name and instead use ‘his real surname Khan’.”
While addressing a public gathering in Harda district in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, former minister claimed that Firoz Gandhi’s surname was ‘Khan’ and so, Rahul should use his grandfather’s real surname.
“Rahul, remove the Gandhi in your name. Use your father-grandfather’s real surname, Khan. Why are you defaming Gandhi ji. Your father and grandfather misused Bapu’s surname to rule the country while Gandhiji was ours, not yours.”
