Pankaja is trailing her cousin Dhananjay Munde in the Parli seat in Beed district in the Maharashtra assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had campaigned in the Parli seat.
Dhananjay Munde is contesting the seat on a NCP ticket and is leading comfortably with more than 88,000 votes compared to 61,000 odd votes for Pankaja Munde, daughter of former late BJP stalwart Gopinath Munde.
