Kolkata, Feb 23 (IANS) As many as 60 Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists were arrested on Saturday for trying to forcibly enter the Cricket Association of Bengal’s headquarters at Eden Gardens to seek removal of photos and flexes of Imran Khan and other Pakistan players, police said on Saturday.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) youth wing activists marched to the Eden Gardens to submit a representation for taking down the pictures of Pakistan players including its World Cup winning captain and current Prime Minister Imran Khan following the Pulwama terror attack, in which 40 CRPF troopers were killed on February 14.

The demand arose after Board of Control for Cricket in India and various state cricket associations removed pictures and memorabilia of Pakistan cricketers from their offices.

Apart from Imran, pictures of legendary Pakistan cricketers Wasim Akram, Intikhab Alam and Ramiz Raja adorn the walls of the CAB.
