BLACKPINK member Rosé has been named as the global ambassador for American luxury jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co.
Rosé is set to make her debut as the brand’s latest ambassador in the upcoming 2021 Tiffany HardWear digital campaign, which will go live this Friday (April 23).
Before this, Rosé sported Tiffany & Co.’s HardWear pieces in the Blackpink’s music video for Ice Cream, and in the same month, graced the cover of W Korea with a spread of Tiffany & Co. jewels.
Talking to Elle, Rosé said “I’ve always loved wearing Tiffany jewellery. To be part of an iconic brand that has been part of my life for a long time makes it that much more special to me. I am very honoured and excited to be a part of the HardWear campaign and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Talking about her first piece of Tiffany jewellery, the singer said,” In my memory, I think it was some white gold earrings in the classic Tiffany charm shape that my mum got me when I pierced my ears for the first time in 7th grade.”
Blackpink’s Rosé personal style icon
Tiffany’s classic glamour made Rosé think back to a personal style icon: her mom. “I still remember when she used to work full time back in New Zealand. How she would dress up in the chicest black fitted blazer and pencil skirt,” she says. “I admire her in so many ways, [especially] how responsible, respectful, and kind she is to the people around her.” She also credits her mother with inspiring her love of dressing up. “She always looked like a boss with her dark red lipstick and perfectly styled hair,” says Rosé. “She was always my idol. I wanted to look like her when I grew up.”
Before this, the New Zealand-born Korean singer reached number one on both Global Billboard 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US on March 27 with her debut single “On The Ground”. She has previously topped the Global Excl. US chart with “Lovesick Girls” as a member of BLACKPINK with bandmates Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo.
