New Delhi, Oct 15 (IANS) Passenger services on the Blue Line of Delhi Metro were affected between Yamuna Bank and Noida Electronic City stations on Tuesday afternoon after a passenger jumped onto the tracks at the New Ashok Nagar station.

Delay in services was also reported in between Janakpuri West and Dwarka Sector 21 metro stations owing to the incident.

Normal services resumed on the line around two hours later after intervention by officials of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

“Normal service has resumed. Please allow some extra time for the bunching of trains to clear,” DMRC tweeted at 4:53 p.m.

The DMRC said that services were running normal along all other lines.
