NEW DELHI: On Wednesday, the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released the Admit Card of main written exam for the post of Sub Inspector/Sergeant/Assistant Superintendent Jail (Direct recruitment)/Assistant Superintendent Jail (Ex-Serviceman) in Bihar Police (Advt. No. 01/2019). Candidates, who have registered for the examination, can download their admit card on the official website at bpssc.bih.nic.in through candidate login.

The Combined Mains (Written) Examination for selection of candidates for the 2446 vacant posts of Bihar Police Sub Inspector is re-scheduled to be held on October 11, 2020.

BPSSC SI Recruitment 2019: Main Written Exam

The main exam will consist of two papers, the first paper will be of two hours in general Hindi of 200 marks, which will have 100 questions and it will be mandatory for the candidates to obtain minimum passing marks of 30 percent, otherwise, they will be disqualified.

General Hindi exam scores would not be included for preparing the merit list. The second paper will be regarding General Studies, General Science, Civics Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Aptitude Test.

The second paper will be of 200 marks and the total number of questions would be 100 and the duration of the examination will be two hours. In each stage examination, 0.2 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The answer booklet will be in duplicate, a copy of which would be kept with the Commission.

On the basis of the main written exam a merit list would be prepared and the candidates will be selected 6 times of the vacancies for the physical efficiency test. Candidates will solely be required to pass the Physical Efficiency Test.

In case of non-availability of a sufficient number of qualified candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test, the said ratio can be suitably reduced.
