She was in a critical condition when admitted to a private hospital last weekend. The end came to the hospital early on Tuesday at 4:45 am. Popularly known as Ashalata, the Goa-born actress had reportedly contracted the infection during the shootings of a teleserial. Her last rites will be performed in Satara.

Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik have applied for a bail at the Bombay High Court, India Today reported.The two are presently in judicial custody after the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested them in the drug probe in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 8 by the NCB for alleged procurement of drugs. She was sent to a 14-day judicial custody by a sessions court in Bombay.
