Former Australia cricketer Dean Jones passed away at the age of 59 on Thursday. Jones was part of Star Sports commentary team and was in a bio-secure bubble in a seven-star hotel in Mumbai. Dean Jones has been an active cricket analyst and was signed up to do off-tube commentary on the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 now underway in UAE.

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone is expected to return to Mumbai from Goa later this afternoon. The actress has been summoned by Narcotics Control Bureau as her name emerged in the Bollywood drug nexus case. The actor was spotted at Goa airport a while ago, she has received permission for a charter plane to Mumbai. Meanwhile, according to reports Deepika has sought legal advice through video conferencing with a team of lawyers after receiving the NCB summon on Wednesday.

Rakul Preet Singh denied receiving summons from Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drug probe. Deepika Padukone, who is in Goa for a shoot, is likely to leave for Mumbai at 12.30 pm. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had earlier issued summons to her, along with Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and others, in a drug probe related to Sushant Singh Rajput case.

Fashion designer Simone Khambata reached the NCB guest house here on Thursday morning to appear before the agency in connection with its probe into an alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus, an official said.

Rhea’s bail plea was scheduled to be heard by a single bench presided over by Justice Sarang Kotwal on Wednesday. However, since the High Court suspended the day’s hearings owing to heavy rains in the city, the plea is likely to be heard today.

An unidentified militant was killed on Thursday in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said. A CRPF jawan was injured and his service rifle was taken away by militants in an attack in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
