Bajaj Avenger is the most affordable cruiser bike in India. The company revised its prices for the Avenger Street 160 and Avenger Cruise 220 by Rs1,216 and Rs 2,500 respectively. The new prices are Rs 94,893 and Rs 119,174.
Both the cruiser motorcycles were launched in April 2020.
Bajaj Avenger Street 160 which shares the same styling the Street 220 comes with a BS6 compliant engine. It draws power from a revised 160 cc SOHC, air-cooled, DTS-i engine that produces 15 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 13.7 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The braking setup includes 280 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum along with a single-channel ABS. The suspension duties are handled by a pair of telescopic forks up-front and twin shock absorbers at the back.
The Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 boasts a 19.03hp/17.55Nm, 2-valve engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine is fed by a fuel-injection system. The Avenger looks the part with its cruiser design. It’s handle-bar has a swept-back design while the rider’s perch is a comfortable thing. The length of the motorcycle is 2210mm while the wheelbase is 1,490mm. The saddle height is 737mm.
The company is soon going to update its entry-level Pulsar 125 motorcycle. According to reports, the new split-seat variant of the Pulsar 125 BS6 has started arriving in dealerships, indicating a launch in the Indian market in the coming weeks.
The company has resumed its services and extended the OE warranty and free service period of all vehicles that expired between March 20, 2020, and May 31, 2020.
