Popular K-pop band BTS has once again created history and has become first-ever first Korean artist/band to be nominated for BRIT Awards 2021. BTS has been nominated in the International Group category alongside Foo Fighters, Run the Jewels, Haim, and Fontaines DC.
The nominations of the BRIT Awards 2021 were announced on March 31. The award function will be aired on May 11, 2021.
This has come days after BTS’ historic nomination at the Grammys. However, BTS had lost to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande in the best pop duo/group performance category at the Grammys. Their song Dynamite has remained on Billboard’s Hot 100 for 31 weeks, equalling Psy’s Gangnam Style record for an all-Korean act. Their most-watched music video is DNA with 1.1 billion views, followed by Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey) and Fake Love.
