Indian Railways has come up with an initiative to save lives of elephants dying on railway tracks. Rangapara North region railways have discovered a wonderful technique to ward off the elephants that come close to the railway tracks while grazing and becoming prey to speedy train sometimes. Under this innovative move, a buzzing sound of bees is played with the help of loudspeakers alongside these tracks that makes the elephants run away from near the railway track.

This new technique of keeping elephants away from railway track has brought down the number of elephant death due to speeding trains remarkably in this area.
