CAA Proests: Patna University students show black flags to Union Health Minister Ashwini Chaubey

Patna: Union Health Minister Ashwini Chaubey was shown black flags by students of Patna University as a mark of protest against CAA on Thursday. Black ink was thrown at his car. Student leaders from CYSS, NSUI, AISA and SFI raised protest slogans against the Union Health Minister as well as the new laws of the present Govt like NRC, CAA and NPR.

The Union Health Minister was going to PU’s population research center and its national headquarters present at Patna University. On Thursday around 6:15 students surrounded the Minister and his car and started raising slogans against CAA. This incident also happened at a time when the Minister was about to cross Ramna Road and enter Patna University.

Union Health Minister and his team had no idea that students would surround their car on their way. The station house officer of Pirbohar issued a statement that “No FIR had been registered as of now. There has been news about student bodies showing red flags, and throwing ink at Union Health Minister Ashwini Caubey’s car.”

It has to be noted that, the whole nation has been protesting against the contentious CAA act for some months. The bill suggests that minority religions except Muslims will be allowed to stay in the country.
