CBSE Board Exam 2021 Date Live updates: Class 10th, 12th exams to be held from May 4 to June 10

CBSE Board Class 10, Class 12 Remaining Exam Date 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a decision to cancel the remaining exams for class 10th and class 12th. Students of class 12th will be evaluated based on their performance in the last three school examinations.

Students will also get a chance to appear for the board exam at a later date if they are not satisfied with the marks given by the board and to improve their performance.

The pending CBSE exams were earlier slated to be held from July 1 to 15, but due to the rapid rise in coronavirus cases in the country, the education board and government are reconsidering their decision.

The decision made regarding the CBSE exams will also be going to impact the admission process to all central universities as well as the national entrance exams such as JEE Main and NEET 2020.

Earlier the Delhi government showed its displeasure in conducting the board exams even after knowing that Delhi has the most number of CBSE schools. Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia wrote a letter to the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank appealing him not to hold the pending CBSE exams in Delhi.

Moreover, in Maharashtra, a case has been registered against the conducting of CISCE exams. In Bombay High Court, the CISCE has given the option to cancel the board exams to class 10 and 12 students. An alternative way of assessment is also being discussed within the CISCE.

CBSE recommends following the internal assessment norm for exams that it is not holding. Of the 40-odd subjects, only for 29 subjects were held.
