CTET 2026 Qualifying Marks

CTET is a qualifying exam, meaning candidates need to secure minimum marks rather than compete for ranks.

Minimum Passing Marks:

  • General Category: 60% (90 out of 150 marks)
  • OBC / SC / ST / PwD: 55% (82 out of 150 marks)

The NCTE guidelines establish these standards which remain mostly unchanged from year to year.

CTET is one of the most important teaching eligibility examinations in India which schools use to recruit teachers for Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other CBSE-affiliated schools.
