CBSE Results 2023: The letter, which was subsequently declared to be forged by CBSE authorities, bore a forged signature of CBSE director of academics Joseph Emmanuel.

Class 12 and 10 results are in the concluding stages of preparation and are expected to be released this week, according to a highly placed source at the CBSE.

“CBSE never declares the date of announcing the results in advance. But we would like to tell that the process of preparing the results of both the classes is in the final stage and CBSE will be announcing the results very soon”, said regional officer (RO), CBSE, Prayagraj, Lalit K Kapil.

The fake letter, which went viral within minutes of being posted on Whatsapp, also fooled CBSE officials, as schools affiliated with CBSE began contacting and requesting confirmation of the so-called letter. The school’s students, instructors, and principal circulated the letter rapidly through the WhatsApp group.

The letter also included the web address where recipients can view their results.

Nonetheless, CBSE was quick to proclaim that this letter was a forgery.

Notable that a similar false letter circulated in 2020, prompting the CBSE to issue a clarification labelling the letter as fake. The earlier forged letter of 2020 bore the forged signature of Anurag Tripathi, secretary of the CBSE.

The CBSE class 10 examinations were held from February 15 to March 21, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm each day. In 2023, 21.87 million students registered for the class 10 CBSE examinations.
