Chhattisgarh: BJP ministers laugh, misbehave during Vajpayee’s mourn meet

Amid the ‘Asthi Kalash Yatra’ – the tribute ceremony of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Raipur on Wednesday, two Bharatiya Janata Party ministers – Brijmohan Agrawal and Ajay Chandrakar – were seen giggling on the stage.

Seeing the duo laughing during the mourning meet, another BJP worker Dharamlal Kaushik stopped them and made the two become silent. Several photos and videos of the moment have gone viral over the social media calling the act ‘disrespectful’.

In the video, it can be seen that Ajay Chandrakar, sitting on the stage showed something on the mobile phone to the other BJP official, following which, both the ministers laughed.

The Congress has condemned the incident saying that such a behaviour during the mourning assembly is disrespectful. Congress leader Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said that the incident showed BJP’s fake flirtation and affection towards demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Vajpayee, the 10th Prime Minister of India, breathed his last on August 16. He was cremated on 17 August with full state honour at Smriti Sthal in the national capital.
