Chhattisgarh’s Health Minister expresses gratitude to SRK and Meer Foundation for providing 2,000 PPE kits to the state

Chattisgarh’s Health Minister TS Singh Deo has expressed gratitude to the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for providing 2,000 PPE kits to the state. These PPE kits had been sent to Chhattisgarh by SRK’s NGO Meer Foundation.

Taking it to Twitter on Thursday, the Health Minister wrote, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to @iamsrk & @MeerFoundation for providing PPE kits to protect our frontline warriors. Thanks @rajshriartist for connecting us and making this possible. Your generosity has inspired many more to protect our healthcare heroes.”

Reacting to the tweet, SRK wrote, “Sir, We all are trying in whatever capacity we can to help our brothers and sisters to overcome these hard times. Wishing you the best with these endeavors too.”

Appreciating and praising the actor’s efforts to help in this difficult time of corona virus, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took to his official twitter handle and lauded the actor for the same where he immensely also thanked the ‘Meer Foundation’ for their remarkable contribution in this huge battle against the virus as he shared the pictures of the PPE kits being delivered in the same tweet.

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan had announced a series of initiatives to help the country fight the pandemic. SRK had shared that a kitchen would be set up to send out 2000 freshly cooked meals everyday to help households and hospitals whose daily needs aren’t being fulfilled. While his Roti Foundation would provide Rs 3 lakh meal kits to 10,000 underprivileged people and daily wage labourers daily for at least a month in Mumbai.

Also, earlier it had been revealed that how the Meer foundation is collaborating with Working People’s Charter to make available the basic essentials and food grocery items for atleast an entire month for the 2,500 wage based workers based in Delhi.
