A Florida woman has been detained in connection with the death of ‘OnlyFans’ star Christina Ashten Gourkani, who was known for her resemblance to Kim Kardashian. According to San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe, Christina passed away on April 20 due to cardiac arrest caused by unlawful cosmetic injections intended to enlarge her butt, as reported by aceshowbiz.com.
Vivian Gomez, the woman who allegedly gave Christina the backroom injections, was arrested on April 20 at the Ft. Lauderdale airport, just hours after the curvy star died in a California hospital. It is still unclear what was in the injections.
Vivian was charged with two felonies, including involuntary manslaughter and unlicensed practise of medicine.
According to the Daily Post, Vivian administered “several injections” of a substance believed to be silicone to Christina. Reportedly, the procedure took place in a hotel room in Burlingame, California.
A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Michael K. Obeng, told ‘People’ that these injections are hazardous.
“Most of these illegal injections are made with silicone, and silicone or any foreign substance can migrate within the body, which can lead to infection and hardness over time, deforming parts of the body,” Michael explained.
“As with any injection, it may enter the bloodstream,” he added.
And if it enters the bloodstream, it can obstruct blood vessels and induce necrosis (or tissue death). “Therefore, this poses a grave risk.”
Ashten’s family wrote on a GoFundMe page, “At approximately 4:31 a.m. on 4/20/2023, our family received a tragic phone call from a family member who was frantically screaming and crying on the other end of the line….Ashten is dying…Ashten is dying…”
They stated, “After arriving at the hospital shortly after receiving the phone call, our family continued living a nightmare.”
The family continued, “We were informed that her health and wellbeing continued to deteriorate in a downward spiral after she suffered a cardiac arrest,” adding that her death was the result of a “medical procedure that went awry.”
“If you knew Ashten, you would know that she cared about everyone. She was such a compassionate and loving free spirit who took the time to bring a smile to the face of everyone she crossed paths with,” the page continued.
She sought out the lonely person in the corner and made them feel special because she has such a talent for relating to others.
“Christina Ashten Gourkani I hope there is a place in paradise where you can experience the depth of our sorrow and the emptiness of our broken hearts without you. We absolutely adore you, Chrissy,” they wrote.
“We are grateful for the support you are able to provide our family as we lay Christina Ashten Gourkani to rest in eternal peace,” the family of the model concluded.
