CHSE Odisha HSC Results 2020: Odisha will be going to release results of its higher secondary science and commerce exams by the third week of August while the result of arts stream will be out by August-end.
School and mass education minister Samir Dash said on Monday that CHSE Odisha Plus Two Results 2020 will be announced by the third week of August and result of arts stream will be released by August end.
In the year 2019, the higher secondary exam results were announced on June 21, however, this year it has been postponed due to COVID lockdown.
Earlier this month, the state government scrapped the pending exams of its higher secondary classes initially scheduled between March 23 and 28 for Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational Education due to Covid restrictions on the opening of educational institutions.
Moreover, at least 22 exams are still left to be held which includes- biology, economics, logic, geography, computer application, cost accounting, statistics, anthropology, sociology, tourism and hospitality, agriculture, automotive, electronics & hardware and retail. However, the evaluation process is on despite the COVID-19 restrictions and outbreak.
For the papers whose exam could not be held, the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education has planned the assessment scheme announced by the Supreme Court on the basis of the suggestions made by a committee of CBSE.
“The best performance of the students in the examination papers already held will be taken as a yardstick to declare the results. In case of science students who have appeared at more than three papers, the average marks in best three papers will be awarded for the papers whose examination has not been conducted,” said the minister.
For the students who have taken only three exams, the average marks secured in the best two theory papers will be awarded for rest of the papers.
