CLAT 2020: The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for the 2020 session is scheduled to be conducted on May 10. The exams will be conducted in a revised paper pattern this year.
The questions from the exam paper have been reduced to 120-150, which was 200 earlier. The examination will be for two hours duration and will be conducted in pen-paper mode.
There will be comprehension based questions for the admission test for the PG courses. The consortium of National Law University has also advised studying the possibility of introducing cut off marks for LLM.
The official notification for CLAT 2020 will be issued in December last week. The online registration will begin from January 1, 2020.
The admit card will be released in the May first week. Candidates are recommended to download the admit card and take a print out. It is mandatory for candidates to carry a admit card along with them in the exam hall.
Exam pattern of CLAT 2020
UG Programme: The exam will be based on the format of the Multiple-Choice Question which will be of two-hour duration and carry 1200 marks. There will be 120-150 questions of one mark and for each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark.
English including comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.
PG Programme: The paper will have descriptive based questions. The exam will be a two-hour duration.
