Jharkhand Government on Friday unveiled a new state logo. The new logo is primarily in green and has the national emblem at the center with “Satyameva Jayate” inscribed below.
Taking it to Twitter CM Hemant Soren wrote, “Today the state of Jharkhand gets a new logo reflecting the rich heritage. This symbol underlines our culture. It signifies our identity and symbolizes consciousness. Considering the natural surroundings of the state and the philosophy of life here, it fully reflects our identity.”
Earlier in January, Hemant Soren sought suggestions from the public for the state’s logo on the occasion of 71st Republic Day. It was said that the logo will become the identity of the people of Jharkhand and therefore urged everyone to participate in its creation.
“The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is on a new path. In line with everyone’s aspirations, the cabinet had decided to create a new logo of the state, which is a reflection of our rich culture and heritage,” the statement in Hindi read.
People were told to send their suggestions on email@example.com.
