San Francisco, Sep 30 (IANS) Apple Arcade to add an adventure game “South of the Circle” with an innovative aesthetic inspired by mid-century screen printing, to its growing catalog of over 130 games.

“Coming Soon to Apple Arcade: South of the Circle. You are marooned in Antarctica in 1959 during a Cold War standoff looking for rescue when the past begins to blend with the present,” the company said in a tweet on Tuesday.

South of the Circle tells the story of Peter, a Cambridge academic who finds himself fighting for survival in Antarctica during the 1960’s Cold War. Crossing desolate terrain to reach British, Norwegian and Soviet Antarctic bases, Peter flashes back to his life at the university and his relationship with a fellow lecturer, Clara.

Players will bounce between Peter’s troubled past and dangerous present.

The game also features a host of award-winning actors such as Gwilym Lee, Olivia Vinall, Richard Goulding, Anton Lesser, Adrian Rawlins, and Michael Fox.

Earlier, Arcade added two new games – deep-sea adventure ‘Beyond Blue’ by E-Line Media and the emotional puzzle game ‘A Fold Apart’ by Lightning Rod Games – on the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

‘A Fold Apart’ makes gamers interact with paper-like puzzles as they navigate a world where two people have been separated by their career choices.

The subscription gaming service costs $4.99 a month and lets you play more than 120 new as well as exclusive games across the iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod Touch and Apple TV.
