Instagram stopped working making people go haywire and jump to Twitter. Just a day after millions faced hacking issues with their Facebook accounts on Tuesday and Wednesday, now its photo-sharing platform, Instagram is suffering a global outage. People took to Twitter to verify the news since Zuckerberg’s company did not comment on the issue.
It looks like the company is facing some serious issue that is disrupting the proper functioning of its social media platforms one after another. The main concern is what if WhatsApp becomes the next trap for this global issue. WhatsApp messenger is also owned by Zuckerberg’s company that has Facebook and Instagram. Around 50 million Facebook accounts across the world were breached by hackers on Tuesday.
Suggestion started surfacing from people on what to do while the apps are down. #instagramdown started trending on Twitter and is now at the top of its trending list. The web version of the app is also facing problems. If trying to log in, the page displays “5xx Server Error”.

However, Facebook on Tuesday had announced Adam Mosseri as the new chief of Instagram. Mosseri is the Vice President of Product at Facebook and will be replacing Instagram co-founders Kelvin Systrom and Mike Krieger.
It is speculated that after hacking Facebook over the weekend, the hackers are now turning towards Instagram. If the Instagram users have used their Facebook login to create their account on Insta, their accounts might also have been caught up in it.
