Complaint filed in Bihar's court against Chinese President for intentionally spreading coronavirus, PM Modi and Trump to be made witnesses

A case has been filed against Chinese President Xi Jinping and Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Athanam Gabriela’s at civil court in Betia district, Bihar. The complaint is filed by advocate Murad Ali that alleges Xi Jinping and the WHO DG has intentionally spread the virus amongst the Indian population. The CJM(Chief Judicial Magistrate) court has scheduled the hearing for June 16.

Moreover, in his complaint, Advocate Ali has made the US President Donald Trump and PMO Narendra Modi witnesses. The advocate accused the Chinese president of hiding the spread of the deadly coronavirus which has spread from China’s Wuhan city in December 2019.

This is not the first time when a case against Xi Jinping has been filed in a Bihar court accusing the President responsible for the virus. On March 16, a similar case was filed by a Muzaffarpur-based advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha against Chinese President Xi Jinping and China’s ambassador to India Sun Weidong for allegedly ‘hatching a criminal conspiracy to spread coronavirus’. This came after over 110 cases of Covid-19 in India including 17 foreign nationals.

83,040 coronavirus cases had been confirmed in China by Sunday. Out of which 65 are patients who are still undergoing treatment. However, no one is in serious condition. India has so far reported 2,66,598 cases of Covid-19. 7,466 people have died and 129,215 people have been recovered from the virus.

Meanwhile, with 91 new Covid-19 positive cases on Wednesday, the infection figures have spiked to 5,455 in Bihar. 2,770 patients have been recovered so far.
