Khushbu Sundar is has been dropped as AICC Spokesperson with immediate effect, she is likely to join the BJP in New Delhi today. Along with her, a couple of other popular personalities from Tamil Nadu would also join the national party today, sources said.
While Khushbu had recently denied reports of her joining the BJP, she chose a ‘no comment’ response on Sunday as she took off to Delhi. When asked if she is still in the Congress, Khushbu said, “I don’t wish to say anything”.
Sources said Khushbu will meet the party’s national leadership team in New Delhi today in the presence of BJP Tamilnadu unit president L Murugan.
She was in New Delhi in the first week of October. On 6 October, when asked if she was joining the BJP, Khusbhu denied it and said “someone is spending Rs 2 per tweet to spread the rumours”.
She tweeted on Saturday, “Many see a change in me. Well as you age, you evolve n grow, learn n unlearn, perceptions change… you understand the difference between right n wrong. Change is inevitable.”
Before joining the Congress, Khushbu was in the AIADMK and the DMK.
