Coronavirus positive patient dies in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara

Bhopal: A coronavirus positive patient died on Saturday in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh, the state health department reported. With this case, the COVID-19 death toll in the state has reached nine.

Meanwhile, a corona infected journalist and his daughter in Bhopal showed improvement and their latest reports have come negative.

So far 154 corona victims have been traced in the state.

Expressing concern over the increasing cases of coronavirus, Nakul Nath, MP from Chhindwara said, “Corona infection is spreading rapidly in the country and the state and our Chhindwara is not untouched from it. Two patients of coronavirus have been found here in the last 48 hours of which one died.”

Promising that the district will not be short of resources, he said, “I have given necessary guidelines to the administration. There will be no shortage of resources in the district to fight this epidemic.”

He appealed to the people to stay in their homes and said, “I request all of you to ‘stay at home and be safe’. Only our vigilance and restraint can stop this epidemic. I am with you in every situation.”

The number of sick patients in the state has touched 154. An Indian Administrative Service officer has also been confirmed to be corona infected. The officer is in hospital and his condition is stable.

According to the Health Department, the number of patients in Indore is 112, nine in Bhopal, 12 in Morena, eight in Jabalpur, seven in Ujjain, two each in Shivpuri and Gwalior, one each in Khargone and Chhindwara. So far nine patients have died. These include five in Indore, two in Ujjain and one each in Khargone and Chhindwara.
