As the world is in a state of panic as the world os fighting with pandemic as WHO declared it as a global issue. In these rough times, you must be thinking what to do while self quarantining and for your help, we are here to suggest you what to watch on the OTT platform on your favourite platform i.e Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hotstar.

1. ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA – AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

The most favourite film of in which four friends fulfill their wishes to travel and leave their work aside, this movie will surely leave you in the feeling to go out and travel but as you know about the rough time of coronavirus, the best tip is to stay home and stay safe.

2. CHHAPAAK – HOTSTAR

You should watch this film because it features Deepika Padukone’s best career performance (at least, we think so). It is based on the life and the real-case of acid-attack victim, Laxmi Agarwal. It is one of the most heart-breaking movies and will make you aware of the problem of acid attacks in the country.

3. RAAZI – AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

Raazi is the story of an Indian spy who enters Pakistan territory after getting married to one of their Army generals. The movie stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, one which was unlike her previous ones. Raazi will take you through multiple suspenseful scenes and would bring you to the edge of your seat as well. It’s a thriller that you must not pass.

4. QUEEN – NETFLIX

This fantastic dramedy is the definition of the phrase “life goes on”. Kangana Ranaut plays a girl who is dumped by her boyfriend just days before her wedding. She’s definitely hurt, but instead of locking herself up in a room, she decides to go on her honeymoon all by herself which turns out to be a life-changing experience of her life. Watch this film for its storyline as well as Kangana Ranaut’s excellent portrayal of Rani Mehra.

5. MOM – NETFLIX

This movie tells the story of a mother, who fights for justice after the system fails to do so. Sridevi plays the lead in this one and pairs with a detective, played by Nawaazuddin Siddique to finally get hold of her daughter’s rapists. This thriller will take you through the story of how a mother can change roles according to a situation and everything a woman is capable of.

6. TALAASH – NETFLIX

Released during a period when Aamir Khan was churning out big blockbusters in Bollywood, Talaash was at that time considered a comparatively risky venture. Directed by Reema Kagti, Talaash is a psychological thriller that was stuffed with layers of parallel stories. As the lead protagonist — a cop played by Aamir Khan — solves a murder case, the death of his son still haunts him. But an almost supernatural force pushes him to make the right decision at the right time and how this unravels, makes Talaash a very intriguing watch.

7. THE IRISHMAN – NETFLIX

A movie that cemented Martin Scorsese’s legacy as one of the best filmmakers of all-time. Shutter Island that stars Leonardo di Caprio, Ben Kingsley and Mark Ruffalo in pivotal roles is a mind-bending story of self-discovery and will often leave with moments that may force you to question your own sanity. Max Richter’s stirring soundtrack adds to the whole experience and is a movie that you have to watch if you love complex storylines.

8. NO ONE KILLED JESSICA – NETFLIX

Jessica Lal was a model who worked as a celebrity barmaid at a crowded socialite gathering in Delhi in 1999, when she was shot dead late at night. Although many eye-witness accounts and testimonials pointed towards Manu Sharma, — son of an influential Congress MP in Haryana — the court acquitted Sharma seven years later in 2006. This led to a national outrage that forced the prosecution to open the case once again. No One killed Jessica is a stirring retelling of the case through the eyes of its protagonist played by Rani Mukherjee.

9. The Confession Of A Shopaholic- AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

This old classic cult will make you go crazy over shopping as this movie is all about a woman who is a shopaholic and goes bankrupt because of her addiction but managed to get rid away from it and becomes the magazine editor who writes about saving money.

10. SONI – NETFLIX

This movie revolves around the life of a young policewoman in Delhi who is working to address the growing crisis of violent crimes against women but suffers significant professional and personal setbacks. She spends her time trying to find, to the best of her capacities, an answer to the growing crimes against women in the capital. However, in her quest to do so, she suffers several complications in her personal and professional life. The story has a very real feel to it and it will provoke you to think even after the film has ended. One of the best Netflix Indian original films in our opinion.

11. Marriage Story- Netflix

The Oscar-nominated movie which shows the story of family and marriage dam Driver and Scarlett Johansson star as a couple who love each other but nonetheless have come to the unfortunate realization that their desired futures are too incompatible to support their relationship.

12. El Camino- Netflix

The show Breaking Bad which created a hype came up with the movie El Camino and fans went crazy for it. El Camino picks up right where the show left off: With Jesse speeding away from the compound where he’d been held prisoner, now on the run from the law and the worst sorts in the meth world.

13. The Shawshank Redemption- Netflix

This movie seems to never get old as the story chronicles his journey at Shawshank, which is colored by the friends (and enemies) he makes while the audience is left to guess whether he actually committed the crime or not. It’s an expertly told drama packed with memorable performances.

14. Gone Girl- Netflix

Nick Dunne discovers that the entire media focus has shifted on him when his wife Amy Dunne disappears on the day of their fifth wedding anniversary.

15. The Devil Wears Prada- Hotstar

A young woman who has graduated in journalism comes to New York and becomes an assistant to one of the city’s biggest magazine editors, the ruthless and cynical Miranda Priestly.

16.3 idiots- Amazon Prime Video

In this satire of the Indian education system’s social pressures, two friends recount their college days and how their third long-lost musketeer (Aamir Khan) inspired them to think creatively and independently in a heavily-conformist world.

17. Agneepath- Amazon Prime Video

Amitabh Bachchan bagged his first National Award (for best actor) with this action drama that follows a boy who, after the death of his father and the attempted rape of his mother by a gangster, turns into a gangster himself as an adult (Bachchan) to exact revenge. Has a small role for Alok Nath, who stands accused in the #MeToo movement. Also, kindly ignore the 2012 remake that’s on Amazon as well.

18. Andaz Apna Apna – Amazon Prime Video

Two slackers (Aamir Khan and Salman Khan) who belong to middle-class families vie for the affections of an heiress and inadvertently become her protectors from a local gangster in Rajkumar Santoshi’s cult comedy favorite.

19. Bajrangi Bhaijaan- Amazon Prime Video

The heavily controversial Salman Khan stars as a devout Hindu Brahmin and an ardent devotee of Hanuman in writer-director Kabir Khan’s comedy-drama, who embarks on a journey to reunite a mute six-year-old Muslim girl, lost in India, with her parents in Pakistan. Kareena Kapoor co-stars.

20. Dil Chahta Hai- Amazon Prime Video

Farhan Akhtar’s directorial debut about three inseparable childhood friends whose wildly different approach to relationships creates a strain on their friendship remains a cult favourite. Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta star.

21. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge- Amazon Prime Video

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s characters fall in love during a trip to Europe with their friends in this now iconic film — which is still playing over two decades later.

22. A Quiet Place – Netflix

12 Years a Slave actor and Oscar winner Chiwetel Ejiofor have adapted William Kamkwamba’s memoir that’s set in a small village in Malawi in 2001 when the 13-year-old William overcame school expulsion and parental mistrust to create a crop-saving wind turbine with the aid of a library book and a bicycle dynamo.

his utterly immersive epic plunges the viewer into a three-pronged story that unfolds on land, sea, and air with the life-and-death ordeals. Starring Kenneth Branagh, Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, and Harry Styles, proving there’s more to the former One Direction singer than his vocals.

28. The Fault in Our Stars – Hotstar

Based on John Green’s novel of the same name, the story of a sixteen-year-old cancer patient (Shailene Woodley) who’s forced to attend a support group, falls in love with another cancer patient (Ansel Elgort), and the life-changing journey they embark on.

Vicky Kushal will take you to the amazing story of this beautiful movie. Neeraj Ghaywan ventures into the heartland of India to explore the lives of four people in his directorial debut, all of whom must battle issues of caste, culture, and norms. 30. Maqbool – Hotstar

Shakespeare’s Macbeth is transported to the Mumbai underworld by Vishal Bhardwaj, who wrote, directed, and even composed both background score and songs. An ensemble cast of Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Pankaj Kapur, and Naseeruddin Shah. Free to watch.
