Coronavirus India Update: 56 IT employees from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh brought back from Wuhan

A total of 56 IT firm employees from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh working in a reputed Chinese company made their way back to their homes on Tuesday from China’s Wuhan, the epicentre of the Coronavirus.

The employees worked as trainees there for the past six months.

When they returned, the employees were immediately put under a 14-day quarantine at the Army camp in Manesar.

None of them was detected with the deadly virus and was rather presented a certificate by the Union home ministry as an attestation for the same.

According to TOI, One of the returned people told “We did not face any problems during our stay at the camp. They cheeked our temperatures daily and tested us the virus twice. We were tested two days ago.”

The Chinese company had even made requests to the employees to work from home until the epidemic was under control. They are told to return once the situation improves in China.

Employees have received their deserved salaries from the company while they were away.

Another two employees, who had been ill and stayed in Wuhan as a result, will be returning during the third evacuation drive by the Indian government.

It also needs to be mentioned here that a total of 3 confirmed cases have emerged from Kerala. The Govt. of India in spurts is carrying out an evacuation drive to bring Indians trapped in the Coronavirus affected city of Wuhan.
