Restrictions in Gautam Buddh Nagar to continue till April 30

With Noida reporting the highest number of coronavirus cases in UP, the district administration has imposed section 144 in Gautam Buddh Nagar till April 30th. The fresh order will prohibit the gathering of more than four people in a public space in order to prevent the further spread of virus. “Keeping in mind the present Coronavirus situation in the district and in an effort to contain it’s spread, section 144 is being imposed in the district till April 30.


PM Modi calls up opposition leaders to discuss COVID-19

Prime Minister Narendra Modu today called up two former Presidents Pranab Mukherjee and Pratibha Patil to hold a discussion on COVID-19. He also spoke to former Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh and Deve Gowda. Among the opposition leaders, the prime minister spoke to Sonia Gandhi, Mulayam Singh, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamta Banerjee, Naveen Patnaik, KCR, Stalin, Parkash Singh Badal. Before this on Friday, he had spoken to sports personalities via video call.

Pune records third death as Maharashtra’s tally surges to 661

The test samples of a recently deceased 60-year-old woman residing in the city’s Yerwada area has tested positive for COVID-19, making it the third death in Pune district, said authorities on Sunday even as Maharashtra’s total positive cases soared to 661, with 33 deaths.
