Kishan Gupta, a local street vendor and a resident of Varanasi’ Hukulganj killed self, along with his wife, after poisoning their two children in on Wednesday, October 30.
According to reports Kishan Gupta, who used to sell momos on the street, killed self by hanging from the ceiling along with his wife Neelam before poisoning their two children Sikha and Ujjawal.
In the suicide note recovered by police, it is written that ‘I am committing suicide as I am tired of illness’. Police are further investigating the other aspects of suicide. The forensic team also reached the spot for investigations.
According to father Amarnath Gupta, the son used to take the shop rent. Younger sister’s wedding had thrown Kishan under a huge debt due to which he was very upset for a week.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem for further investigation.
