An elderly woman waiting to get tested for coronavirus died without any investigation. For the past several days she was admitted to the hospital’s medicine department and had shortness of breath. A case of negligence from Patna’s IGIMS hospital is being reported.

Seeing the symptoms of her illness, she was being treated as a coronavirus suspect. Three days ago, the hospital doctor wrote to check the corona, but the hospital administration did not investigate the woman.

The woman died in the hospital this morning. After her death, her kin is making a ruckus in the hospital and accused the hospital administration of big negligence.

70 years Lalita Devi, a Paliganj resident admitted in the medicine ward of IGIMS in Patna, was battling for breathlessness from Wednesday. She had trouble breathing and the doctor wrote to conduct a corona test.

From Wednesday, the woman’s family was upset by her situation and the delay in the corona investigation. Earlier also, when she fainted in a women’s hospital for treatment, her treatment was started after 36 hours.

Her self-help Raj Kishore Prasad Sadhu said that Lalita Devi was admitted at 8 am on Wednesday morning. The hospital administration sent it to the Department of Medicine. For 24 hours, she was not tested.

Director Dr N.R. Vishwas says that corona will not be checked. On the other hand, superintendent Dr Manish Mandal said on Wednesday that the corona will be examined. The negligence of the hospital thus took the woman’s life.

For the uninitiated, earlier also many corona suspected patients have died in Bihar. In the PMCH itself, two patients died on Thursday in the isolation ward, but their investigation report has not come so far.

Earlier, there were reports from Bhagalpur, Begusarai as well as several districts in which several patients died in isolation wards and several suspected patients succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Some of these have come to the inquiry report, some are not aware. Such negligence can prove to be fatal.
