Thiruvananthapuram advocate booked for escaping home quarantine for second time

The country is currently facing the wrath of coronavirus pandemic and is also witnessing nation-wide lockdown. As the no. of cases continue to surge, some people continue to defy the rules and regulation made for COVID-19.

In a recent, a Thiruvananthapuram native advocate, who was made to remain in home quarantine in Kollam after he evaded lockdown, violated the lockdown for a second time.

The Chathannur police have booked him under the Epidemic Diseases Act. As per reports, the advocate is a prominent member of Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association.

The advocate reached a house in Kattachal from Thiruvananthapuram via Chathannur, Kalluvathukkal panchayats the other day. He was booked for lockdown violation by police following the intervention of the district Collector. The advocate was told to remain in quarantine at this house in Kattachal by the health care workers in Adichanallur panchayat.

Despite the repeated instructions from the health care workers, the advocate escaped to Thiruvananthapuram the other day, violating the lockdown yet again.

CI Justin John confirmed that the advocate was booked following a complaint from health care officials.
