Indian cricket fans’ wait for the World Cup trophy continues after the team lost out to Kiwis in the semi-final game played at Manchester. After a top-order collapse, it seemed like the match has turned one-sided but a Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni stand brought hopes back. The two, however, could not finish the game for the side. Jadeja hit one in the air and got caught, while Dhoni was at the receiving at of a fabulous run out by Martin Guptill.

It is the second time in succession when the Indian cricket team failed at the semi-final leg of the biggest cricketing event. In 2015, Australia were the ones who defeated the Men in Blue and went on to win the quadrennial event.
