CRPF SI’s body found hanging in official quarters in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A sub-inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)’s body found hanging in the official quarters on Thursday. According to reports, the CRPF SI committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in the CRPF quarters in Jubilee Hills.

The Sub Inspector of CRPF was named Bhavani Shankar (20) and he hails from Rajasthan.

He had gone to his native place on his marriage and returned to Hyderabad 10 days ago. The CRPF officials suspected that he might have committed suicide due to personal issues. However, the reason for his suicide will be identified soon, said the officials.

The body was shifted from CRPF quarters to a hospital for post-mortem. Further details are awaited.

The Police sources said the cops suspected to have hanged himself from the ceiling fan in the hall. The Jubilee Hills police right away reached the spot and are investigating the matter.

On March 2020 – a constable of the CRPF ended life by allegedly shooting himself in Jawaharnagar in the city. B Vittal Rao Manwar (40), a native of Nagpur shot himself with his service self-loading rifle weapon. Rao who posted for sentry duties at CRPF school shot himself under his chin. He was dead on the spot.
