DC’s Aquaman Jason Momoa ‘would love’ to play Marvel’s Wolverine

DC Universe’s Aquaman, Jason Momoa was recently asked, which Marvel Cinematic Universe role he’d like to do, and he named his boyhood superhero Wolverine. Hugh Jackman played the role to much fanfare for almost twenty years, but following 2017’s Logan, he announced he would step away.

After Hugh Jackman decided to say goodbye to the most famous role of his career, the speculations have been made about who would replace him as the Adamantium mutant.

At the Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio, Jason Momoa was asked by Cinema Blend, which MCU character he’d most like to play, and he picked Wolverine.

Momoa said, “I’d love to play Wolverine… (Hugh Jackman) was phenomenal. I grew up just loving Wolverine.”

Their is no official word on Jason Momoa playing Wolverine but legally there is no contract that can prevent the actor from playing two different superheroes for two different companies at the same time. So, hope for the best.

Dark Phoenix’s director Simon Kinberg recently said he cannot imagine anybody but Hugh Jackman to play such an iconic character. But he also said that “actors who are just really interesting, and that I’d love to work with, Tom Hardy comes to mind; Richard Madden I think is a great actor.”

Recently, Zachary Levi went from a bit player in the Thor universe for Marvel to the lead in Shazam for DC.
