Leaked pictures trending in the online all through Thursday hinted that Deepika Padukone is up for a new project with the Iranian legendary film maker Majid Majidi.
The photo cropped in the twitter showed Deepika donning an entirely non-glamorous look , dressed as a washer woman.
The movie, rumored to be titled Kashmir Afloat, is Majidi’s first English feature film.
“It is an Indian story and will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and Kashmir. It will take off towards the year-end or early 2017 and is a signature Majidi film with new takes on relationships and emotional quotients.” DNA quoted the casting director of the movie.
Majidi’s film will be Deepika’s second release after the Vin Diesel starrer movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage, which is expected to be released on January 20.
Majid Majidi is well known for his classics Children of Heaven, The Colour of Paradise, The Song of Sparrows and Baran.
The back ground score of Majidi’s Muhammed: The Messenger of God was done by Indian maestro AR Rahman.
