New Delhi, Nov 26 (IANS) The one-day special session of the Delhi Assembly, called on Monday, days after the chilli powder attack on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, was extended by a day as the scheduled business of the House could not be completed.

Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla extended the session till Tuesday after consultation with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators.

On Tuesday, the House will discuss “the situation arising out of alleged illegal deletion of names of lakhs of voters from the voter lists in Delhi.”

Two reports — the Fifth Report of Committee on Privileges on the complaint against Section Officer Wakf Board K.A. Farooqi and the Sixth Report of Committee on Privileges on the complaint against BJP MLA Om Prakash Sharma — will also be presented on Tuesday.

On Monday, the House witnessed a detailed discussion on chilli powder attack on Kejriwal.

It passed a resolution seeking amendments in the Constitution to bring Delhi Police under the control of Delhi government.

The Assembly also passed a resolution “to abolish the National Pension System and reinstate the old system in the interest of lakhs of government servants”.
