Four men were arrested from northeast Delhi’s Dilshad Colony area for allegedly duping foreign nationals on the pretext of providing escort services, police said on Saturday. T
he accused have been identified as Ravi Sekhar, Krishan and Satyam Tomar, all residents of Delhi, and Tarun, a resident of Uttarakhand, they said.
Police got information that an illegal call centre was being operated near Marignanini Chowk, Dilshad Colony whose owner had created a porn website and put fake profiles of porn models there, they said. On the pretext of providing escort services, he used to receive payments from foreign customers. Main target of the fake profiles and website were foreign citizens especially Australians, police said.
Police reached the spot and conducted a raid. It was found at the spot that a porn website was being operated by the computer centre owner Ravi Sekher and his associates Tarun, Krishan and Satyam, the officer said.
The accused persons disclosed that the illegal call centre was being run by the accused person for more than three to four months. They created a porn website and put some fake profiles of porn models there, police said.
