Prabodhini Ekadashi/ Devotthan Ekadashi or Devthan, is the 11th lunar day (Ekadashi tithi) in the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) of the Hindu month of Kartik. This year, it falls on November 25, Wednesday.

According to the Drikpanchang, Ekadashi Tithi starts at 02:42 AM on Nov 25, 2020 and ends on 05:10 AM on Nov 26, 2020.
This day ends Chaturmaas, a four-month period in which marriages are prohibited. Tulsi Vivah is held after the Dev Uthani Ekadashi, a ritual that believes in marriage between Lord Vishnu and Goddess Tulsi. This day began the auspicious phase of Indian marriage ceremonies.

Importance of Devuthani Ekadashi:
Prabodhini Ekadashi is also called Papa Mukti Ekadashi. As per the religious beliefs, the virtue of which the devotees get by performing Rajasuya Yagya, over that is obtained by observing fast on this day. Devotees believe that by worshiping Lord Vishnu on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi, one attains salvation and after death attains Vishnu Loka.
