New Delhi, April 9 (IANS) Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain’s office has asked all the staff to not participate in the gatherings, including sitting in groups at canteens.

An advisory, issued on April 7, said the office of the Health Minister should be sanitised at least thrice — 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. — every day.

The advisory also asked the official to not shake hands or touch eyes, nose and mouth. “Cover nose and mouth with tissue or elbow while sneezing and coughing.”

It also asked the staff to maintain personal hygiene and safe distance from others.

Not just in office, but it also asked the staff members to ensure certain practices after going home, including to ensure to ring up the home they start from the office.

“Someone at home should keep the front door open — so that you don’t have to touch the calling bell or door handle, and a bucket of water with washing soap powder added to it must be at the front door.”

An official from the office of the Minister said the advisory was issued to ensure that the staff are safe.

“The advisory was issued keeping in mind the safety of the staff during the coronavirus outbreak,” the official told IANS.

The advisory asked the staff members to santise car keys, pens, bottles and phone before entering their house.
