The film starring Ayushmann and Ananya faces an uphill battle, as Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller Jawan will be released on September 7 amid intense anticipation. The box office momentum for Ayushmann and Ananya’s Dream Girl 2 should expand over the weekend, but buzz in the trades indicates that the film’s crossing the Rs 100 crore mark is unlikely.
