Dry Days In September 2021: Dry days are something that people definitely do not look forward to. On dry days, alcohol sales are banned in retail shops, bars, and hotels.

These days can be any government holiday or state-level holidays due to elections, etc. Some states have state-specific holidays in which alcohol sales are banned.

Alcohol has become quite regular during social gatherings and parties. Parties are often incomplete in metropolitan cities without alcohol. Since people in such towns live with a lot of stress, they prefer to unwind and relax with alcohol.

Legal Age of Drinking in India

Surprisingly – Legal Drinking Age Varies in States in India. While Drinking Alcohol is allowed from age of 18 yrs in Goa – same is permitted from age of 25 in Delhi. While – as per Law in Maharashtra (Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur etc) – for alcohol consumption – a person should carry a liquor license obtained from Civil Hospital in Maharashtra.

» Age of 25 – Punjab, Meghalaya, Haryana, Maharashtra, Union Territory – Delhi, Chandigarh
