New Delhi, Feb 25 (IANS) With the rush of people injured in clashes among anti- and pro-CAA activists to the GTB Hospital in Dilshad Garden, patients are suffering.
Sunil Kumar Tiwari, 48, a resident of Ashok Nagar’s Natthu Colony area, told IANS he could not get an ambulance to take his kin’s body home. The hospital authorities said there was shortage of vehicles due to pouring in of east Delhi clashes victims, he added.
“I have been awaiting since morning for an ambulance to carry home the body of my brother-in-law who died of heart attack. When I asked hospital personnel they said they lacked ambulance due to a large number of patients coming in from violence-hit areas.”
It’s hospital’s responsibility to facilitate sending body home, he added.
Tiwari tried to hire an e-rickshaw to carry the corpse home, but it could not fit in. Finally, his family hired a private van to take the body home.
