New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday stalled the launch of a book on the Rafale deal citing Model Code of Conduct (MCC). The book under question, titled Rafale: A Scam That Rocked the Nation, has been written by S Vijayan.
N. Ram, Chairman of The Hindu Group of Publications, had been invited as the chief guest for the book launch event, to be taken place in Chennai on Tuesday.
“The book sale is not permitted… The EC said that we should go to the court, take permission and then release the book. The book is about the deal and does not influence the voters,” the publisher said, according to a Times Now report.
