A video featuring former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi went viral on social media on the occasion of Singh’s birthday. The video shows both of them cutting the cake together, this is the second time this video has got viral. However, after investigating the video it was found that the viral clip was shot in December 2018 on the occasion of Congress’s Foundation Day. It should be noted that this video is also available on the official Congress YouTube channel with the title Congress’s Foundation Day.

Talking about the viral post, a Facebook user named Avinash Srivastava uploaded an 18-second video on 26 September, and said “If a person in the party cannot cut his own birthday cake, then think how he must have run the government for 10 years“.

However, after finding out about the video it was clear that it’s an old clip that is being shared on the occasion of Manmohan Singh’s birthday. The video is also available at India Today’s channel and clearly, both the Congress leaders are cutting the cake together on Congress’s Foundation Day.

Take a look at the actual video here:

A congress official said, “the entire machinery is active to propagate propaganda in the country. The viral video is also the result of the same.

This is not the first time Rahul Gandhi or the Congress party was trolled. Just a few hours after the video broke on the internet Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi were criticised by netizens. However, it should be noted that the viral video is two years old and was shot on Congress’s Foundation Day and not on former PM’s birthday.
