Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a press conference at National Media Centre in Delhi around 3 PM on Tuesday.
Multiple reports suggest that FM Sitharaman is expected to reveal measures related to the economic revival of the country. She may announce measures relating to the Rs 100 lakh crore national infra pipeline, in line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of the $5-trillion economy by 2024.
This is the second press by the FM in less than a week. During her last meet on Saturday, the FM made major announcements including waiving of MDR (merchant discount rate) on payment via RuPay and UPI platforms.

FM Sitharaman: NIP coordination mechanism
We also intend to launch the NIP coordination mechanism consisting of Centre, states.
In the NIP mechanism as of now, the Centre’s share will be 39%, states share 39% and pvt sector share will be 22%. Expect pvt share to increase to 30% by 2025.
Task force has identified Rs 102 lakh crore infrastructure projects: FM Sitharaman
Today, the task force in only 4 months held 70 different stakeholders’ consultations, with ministries, state govts, developers, NBFCs, bankers and others. We have a Rs 102 lakh crore worth projects compilation. In the next few weeks, another 3 lakh crore worth of projects will be added.
