The importance of ‘social distancing’ is paramount, the ministry of Health and Family Welfare in a press conference urged individuals to raise the awareness level and follow steps undertaken by the government to stop the spreading of coronavirus. Important guidelines on clinical management and dead body management have been updated, said, Lav Agarwal, Jt Secy, Ministry of Health.
Tests for coronavirus at private labs should be offered only prescribed and qualified physicians perform as per ICMR guidelines highlighting the ministry at the presser.
The Indian Council for Medical Research urged the accredited private laboratories to involve themselves in coronavirus testing process to further strengthen the all-round diagnosis process for the disease.
Lav Agarwal, Jt Secy, Ministry of Health, also says, a large number of people who have been quarantined, have already been discharged.
Commenting further, the ministry said, all private labs testing for coronavirus to ensure real-time reporting to IDSP and ICMR.
India has been trying its best to put up a full-proof process to check the spread of the virus, as the nation has been witnessing a steep rise in cases. The toll has reached 137 with Maharashtra emerging as one of the epicentres. Coronavirus has taken three lives as of now in India.
