The poll-bound Jharkhand on Thursday witnessed a major switch in political circle as the former Congress chief, Ajoy Kumar joined the Aam Aadmi Party on September 19, in the presence of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

The move came just three weeks after being removed from the post.  He was appointed the Jharkhand Congress chief in November 2017. Kumar, a former Lok Sabha MP from Jamsedhpur, was replaced former union minister and tribal leader Rameshwar Oraon.

After resigning the post, the 57-year-old Kumar had levelled serious allegations against his senior party members. He had accused them of placing “personal interests” above the party and “indulging in corrupt” practices.
